our roots

Welcome!

We are family farm in Charlotte, VT dedicated to the intersection of land, community and food. We are stewards of an 1810 farmhouse and hoping to breathe new life into an old dairy farm.

Nate, a fifth generation Vermonter who grew up helping on his grandparents farm in Swanton in the summers, was steeped in the tradition that farms should be named after the family farming them.

Buckeau = Buckley + Moreau, the combination of our last names.
